is it normal healing or kidney infection?

hi. i have written several posts explaining how much pain i am in. it will be 3 wks post op tomorrow and i am in more pain than the first 2 weeks. it is concentrated on my lower right back and lower right front only. i know he removed the right ovary and had to scrape alot becuz of endo,, but is this normal healing? i thought i may have done too much in regards to stairs, housework (light), etc so i have been going nowhere but this couch all week and its not getting any better. i dont have any pain meds either because neither dr will call any in. i just wanted to know how many of you had this similar pain and/or do you think i should go to the er to check it out for kidney or is this normal pain? also it hurts when i go to the bathroom, the pressure hurts.

I think you should go ahead and give your doc a call. If you are in more pain than before, you should be checked. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Sorry, I cannot speak to your specific issues, I didn't have any.

I agree, if you are in that much pain whereby you feel the need for pain medication, I would definitely get in to see your DR!
While everyone is different and heals at their own pace, I didn't have any need for pain medication after the first week.

Laura, I think I responded to your thread before. What type of pressure? Rectal or cramping when you pee?

its like the pressure hurts when i pee. not peeing itself. sorry if tmi. i did call my gyn today again and said look i am not a chronic pain person...but my back is still killing me...ever since the operation!! i sit all day up for a few walks and heating pad all day long and nothing helps. he says you know how i feel about pain meds...but he did call me in a couple darvocet. finally. also i asked him...maybe it could be a kidney infection?? he said maybe so i just got from giving a urine sample to the nearest hospital. hopefully that will tell them something. just doesnt seem right for my back to be hurting me so much.

You know I have the same type of cramping. I have had this since my surgery. When I urinate it does not burn but I cramp up. It feels like pressure. My low back ached to. Sat and Sun I could not urinate just dribbles. I went to the ER and there was blood in my urine. I am taking Macrobid twice a day and I am feeling better. You could have a kidney infection or UTI. Def. giving a sample was a good Idea. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes, I have a UTI and that is why there is blood in my urine. Macrobid is a antibiotic that treats only UTI's. I'm sorry but I don't know what keflex is. This is my second course of antibiotics. The first week I was on Leviquin but I still had the infection a week later. The macrobid has def. worked. I hope this helps and you feel better soon.
