Family response hurts feelings

Wow! Thanks sisters. Lots of advice and some really good suggestions. I think I was overly sensitive to her comment--she didn't mean it in any horrible way. My sis lives in in another state so she's flying in to be with me. It's good to know that several of you were feeling pretty independent after a few days. I'm having a TAH.

Regarding the timing, I did ask what would be a good time and she said that this would be fine. But, the season has so many demands that I think she's really feeling the pressure. Anyway, she will spend the first ten days and then I'll be on my own. I'll let her know that if she wants to leave earlier, she can. I have several friends in the area who have agreed to stop in, take me to doctor's appointments until I can drive, and just be there. I believe they will follow through.

Also, we have several seasonal events in my town so I will ask some of her friends who still live in the area stop by and take her out during the time so she won't be stuck with me the whole time. They may do this on their own, but I'll just ask ahead of time to be sure. Thanks for the suggestions.
