Orgasm after Hysterectomy - how soon?

Wow, I'm 3 weeks post op. Had total hysterectomy and pelvic prolapse repair. Sex is the last thing on my mind during waking hours. Have had a couple dreams but sleep O's....never knew that could happen!

Well, at 7 days post op, I was just dying to check if my parts were still working. I engaged in a li'l solo action with fantastic results. I didn't have any pain and actually rested better that night. Lol! It was reassuring that everything seems to work as it should. I'm two weeks post op and have let off a bit of steam a few more times. I figure more blood flow to the area can only help with healing. :0

Many doctors require "complete pelvic rest" for this very reason. An orgasm results in spasms and increased blood flow to healing tissues which could cause damage depending on the surgery type and how well you are healing. Please check with your doctor to ensure this is safe for you.

I had an orgasm three weeks after a partial hysterectomy. It was wonderful to know that everything is functioning normally. It was a major concern but i can relax now.
