Have someone stay with you in the hospital
If you haven't been to the hospital in a while you might still think the nurses will care for your every need. Unfortunately, they rely on someone staying with you to do those things. They will come every 2 hours (or less) all during the night to check your vitals, to be sure! They'll take care of giving your meds and taking care of IV's, and hopefully will be very caring and kind. But you do need someone with you to bring you ice chips after surgery, help you out of bed, get the nurses when you need help, walk with you when you can get up and around, and a variety of other things. If your mom or husband or a good friend can stay with you, it will make a big difference in how your stay and recovery in the hospital go! I pray it goes very well for you!
