what if they take both?

Okay ladies...maybe I am in the wrong forum..but anyway..I am going in for a TAH and RSO..but, as we all know, they may take both ovaries.
During my years of trying to "fix"my problems, I was put on various types of BC. I turn into a monster. Black outs, insomnia, anxiety attacks, headaches, nausea, fatique, screaming lunatic/crying lunatic..etc.
Very very bad.
My question is this, if I do wake up and both are gone, how will I be able to determine what is surgical menopause and what is a reaction to whatever HRT(if any) they have given me? Am i creating problems where there aren't any/

Both

First of all, take a deep breath. I had both of my ovaries taken during my surgery. Other than occasional hot flashes in the beginning, nothing else really happened. My doctor did prescribe a HRT and I have been taking it since my surgery and do not experience any side effects from it. (I have to be monitored to make sure my levels remain steady).

What you are feeling is completely normal. I did not expect to have my ovaries taken out only to find out differently after my surgery. I feel so much better and am back to normal.

I promise, you will be okay!

what if they take both?

Hi emichal,

I couldn't take BC pills or any of the synthetic hormones before my surgery either. I had horrible side affects.

However, I had a BSO and am now using bio-identical hormones. They are just like the hormones that my body would make, if it could.
Here is a link to some information about bio-identical hormones . Here is a link to other Hormone Jungle Articles I know I am very happy with the results I am having.

Kay
