I've had a Csection and mine is going to be completely laproscopic so I don't think C section is a factor.

The nervousness is starting to set in. I'm getting a tad edgy.

Hi Mary:
I had a TVH with bladder repair last May. Can't answer your question as to how the surgery will be performed but wanted to give you some support. I could not have gone through my surgery without the dear ladies on this site. They answered all of my questions and even e-mailed me promptly when I had concerns. Due to fear, I put off my surgery for 1 year. That was one of the worst decisions I had ever made. My surgery went extremely well. My recovery was uneventful. None of the horrors that I had imagined happened. Our imagination runs wild during the wait. Please believe me when I tell you, I am one of the biggest babies going and I came through it quite well. I truly believe that your mind set is a large part of this surgery. I will pray for you and hope that your surgery and recovery is just as uneventful as mine.
Take care,
Gina

I was lucky not to have endometrios but in reading all the posts here, I saw on one thread that said with endo. it's better to open you up so that they can make sure to get all those implants out. It gives the Drs a much better veiwing area as endo can spread upwards and on to many organs. They need to get as much as they can out and hopefully the rest will die out soon w/o the estrogen.

That being said there are more Dr's who are developing their skill with laproscoic surgeries to enable themselves to do a complete clean out.

I guess in the end, it all depends on how your Dr feels that he can best help you.

BTW, I had LAVH/BSO and a hystersister buddy of mine had a TAH/BSO and I would say her recovery is going better than mine did.
