New with HORRIBLE pressure pain

It's amazing how each day makes a difference. I wrote my last post on this thread yesterday (Saturday) morning, and now it's Sunday morning, and I'm feeling really good today. It has been 12 hours since my last Percocit, and I don't feel I need another one right now. I've been only taking Ibuprofin.... so I think I'm FINALLLLY turning a corner. I am 13 days post-op, and obviously for me, this just took a lot longer than others to not be in pain.

So, yes.... I think I'm very close to that "light" at the end of the tunnel.

Trust me, I'd be "rolling in it" too if I could get a dollar for every person who had told me to take it slow and let myself heal. But, those people are right... we do need to take it slow and let us heal.... but it is so hard to be patient! ugh.

Well, I'm sure one day I'll look back at all of this and think it probably wasn't as bad as it seemed.

Sorry didnt mean to give you the "heeby-jeebies." For years (prob. 10) I have had a cervical polyp. Two of my female gyns. just removed it in the office and put silver nitrate on to stop the bleeding, but apparently they never totally removed it which is why it kept returning. The gyne that did my hyst. just watched it for probably 4 years...He said there was no way he would remove it in his office (not sterile enough). So when I first got the post-menopausal bleeding, he did a D&C and a polypectomy in the hosp.
When they found the endometrial cancer and did the hysterectomy, the path report spoke of a stump. My guess is the polyp actually originated in my endocervical canal (behind the cervix) so they could never get it all.
Therefore the term "stump"
I just hope that there is not some remnant left that will grow thru the "cuff". That does sound painful.,..

Well, I just got off the phone from the doctors office... Sounds like stabbing pains are normall.. He did say if they got any worse to come in... Thursday will be my half-way point (3 wks)... Hope the last 3 weeks are much better, cause there is no way I can work with this punching bag feeling.

thanks for that info pattie - and no need to apologise for you giving me the heebies..........its the polyp that gives them to me ! ! ! and, my body being outta control, doing stuff that isn't good for me etc ! ! glad you feel a tad more relaxed about still having some pain. 3 weeks is not too long a time to be expecting probs, judging by what i've read on this site over the past 5 months ! ! but, it is frustrating, this waiting business........hmmmm.........gee.

My husbands doctor told him "some of us are just polyp growers".. I guess if they remain benign... I won't worry about them..

I'm curious... how do you know you have a polyp? Does it create pain, or do you find it through an exam or another way? I've never had one, but wondering how they are discovered.

I am 6 weeks post of TVH and Rectocele repair, I was just diagnosed today with a fluid accumulation in the cul de sac area and this is reason for my cramping and pressure. I am so tired of feeling this pain and it does feel quite similar to how I felt before I had the surgery. My MD said time is the only thing that will help as the fluid needs to reabsorb itself.

If I could figure out how to make a new post I would I cant even figure out how to get back after using the quick reply so Iam sorry but here is my question. If you were doing yoga and pilates how soon were you able to do those things again? my dr. has said no to them for now but im just wondering if I will ever be able to the way I feel now!

2) open that up, at the top of all of the threads, there is a button called, "New Topic".

3) Just click on "New Topic", and type in the title of your message and the text of your message and then submit it.

I wonder if that is where my pressure is also... They did the pelvic wash to look for cancer... maybe they didn't get all the fluid out.??? My left side is much more painful than my right... where do you hurt.??
