Nervous

Well I have a scheduled date. 14 April. My concern now is do I keep the cervix. I haven't had any issues with it. Surgeon is recommending I do. Would love to hear from you.

Re: Nervous

Hi, had a partial Jan 20th 2010. The doctor kept both ovaries and cervix, told me that it wasn't necessary to remove them. He also rehung my bladder so it's better to keep as much as possible. He said that the more they take will affect the nerves as well which will decrease sexual pleasure. I believe this because my libido has increased. Good luck.

Re: Nervous

Thank you, this is good to know. I don't have a huge family background in cancer. My mom had breast cancer but that's about it. I'm going to keep it.

You will want to add your surgery date to your profile so that once you get post-op you will be able to utilize the post-op forum.

On the question of keeping your cervix here's an article that you may find helpful Keeping your cervix . It is a very personal decision and only one you can make and you'll need to feel comfortable with that decision.

My view of things is if it is healthy keep it, but there are some who have to have it removed later.
