Who's coming up in December?
HI. I just found and joined this group minutes ago. How reassuring it is to know I am not alone anymore. My husband is SO supportive but I still feel a bit alone.
I am scheduled Dec 17th for a vaginal hyster. They are leaving the ovaries.
I am still shocked this all happened so quickly to tell you the truth.
Best of luck withyour surgery. I will be thinking about you.

Who's coming up in December?
December 13th is my magic day. I just got the FMLA papers back from the Dr today. I will be off till Jan 24th and the INSURANCE covers it at 100% and it is approved! My sick leave will take care of me all the way. This is just a godsend.

Scheduled on 12/3
I'm scheduled to go in on 12/3 at 11:30am and will be having a vaginal hysterectomy with a bladder lift. I am so glad to have this website available and wish all you ladies in waiting (it's hard to get your mind off this stuff). You think about it at work, home, eating, cleaning - - consumes your every thought. The waiting is the hardest part and the expectations of the outcome when we wake up from surgery. When the time comes - we will all be in a daze walking into the hospital like zombies (which will be a good thing) and then on top will get very happy right before the surgery while the anthesiologist gives you something to relax. Too bad it can't be right now, I feel your pain and wish all of you the best. Let's go decorate the house with Christmas stuff and try to focus on something else. (IT'S HARD). I'm having a hard time with that.

Who's coming up in December?
Hi - I am scheduled for Dec 2 at 11:45am for a SAH for large fibroids. Nervous isn't the right word for what I am experiencing. But we have great support here. Good luck to everyone.

Who's coming up in December?
Hi December sisters,
My TAH/BSO is scheduled for December 3 at 7:40 a.m. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m.---yuck!
Like all of you, I've found this Web site to be absolutely wonderful. It's the only place I can go where I find other women who truly understand, and who don't say, "Don't worry, everything will be all right." While I certainly hope that everything will be fine pre-op, during OR, and post-op, I'm getting tired of being told "don't worry" by everyone. I am worried and I am scared, but I also know that this is the right decision for me.
to the December s!

Hi
I am scheduled for 12/16 and can't wait! I know exactly what you mean about the horror stories. That's all I have heard and some have even made me wonder if I'm not "rushing things" by choosing not to take hormones first. However, today I started my period and the absolute pain and feelings of being "gutted alive" have made me certain that I have made the right choice. Besides the pain I dont like the idea of cysts and tumors growing in my body I want them OUT. My biggest concern is that I will gain a lot of weight (thanks to one of those horror stories), but after riding the monthly hormonal roller coaster with binges I can't image it can be any worse. I am also trying to get Christmas squared away so that I won't have to worry about that. I truly believe with God's help we will get through this and on to better days.
PS. Does anyone know how to edit the personal profile?
