vagina still loose after surgery?

I am 10 weeks post-op after having vaginal hysterectomy with rectocele and cystocele repair. Doc okayed sex at my eight week check-up. The first attempt was too painful so we stopped and tried again at week 9. The second attempt was painful until I was fully penetrated, then no more pain. My question is why isn't my vagina tighter? It is gaping at the entrance. I started doing pelvic floor exercises after Doc released me as he told me not to do them while I was healing. Was I wrong to think these repairs would mend vaginal relaxation?

I have the same kind of question. I'm about 10weeks post op, full hysterectomy at the rip age for 20. At week 8 I tried to have sex and it was awful and painful. I saw my doctor and she gave me premarin to use along with my replacement therapy.

That solved he dryness and pain issue, and I haven't any more problems with sex, but my partner has. I don't feel looser normally, but when we start to have sex it's like my muscles aren't contracting like they used to and i feel much looser.
Is this normal? and does anyone know what could cause it?

I am 11 weeks post op tomorrow and I feel loose as hell. Going for physical therapy and hope this helps. I feel for you both.

For me it's strange, I can still everything, and my drive is fine, but I'm definitely looser. Good luck! and let us know how the therapy works.

What did your doctor says about the looseness?

I haven't seen my doctor. I don't have any appointments scheduled either.

That's why I was wondering if this is common or if it will resolve itself.

I hear from past posts it resolves eventually. So far for me, it hasn't and I am 11 weeks post op tomorrow.
