19 days post op and soreness over both hips

So I have a more active day on Saturday and I have felt sore everyday since. Mostly over the hips and groin area.

I have also noticed that i wake in the night with a full bladder and then my bladder feels sore after I have emptied it.

Is this normal?

Re: 19 days post op and soreness over both hips

Completely normal, you will have been in stirrups for the surgery with the head end lowered. That can put some strain on the hip and groin ligaments and can take a few weeks to pass. Chances are you are noticing it now because the immediate post-op pain was masking it, now that has subsided you are hearing them complain when you ask them to do things.

Just keep walking about and being mobile and they should recover just fine.

Hope this helps xx

Thank you, I was starting to worry a little that it might be something else, I have no other symptoms so was loathe to call the doctor.
