3 years post-op

Hello all, I am 42, had my surgery in Sept. 2010. I am not sure if this is the correct forum for my question, but I will try anyway. I had my uterus and cervix removed, I still have my ovaries. I have not had a period since the surgery, which was exactly what I expected. I have had pain on my right side, which I believe is my ovary. When I had this pain before the surgery, I was told after an ultrasound that it was a cyst and they go away on their own. Recently I have had a lot of pain in my ovaries and on two occasions I have noticed bright red blood when I go to the bathroom. It is not enough for a tampon, or sanitary napkin but enough to alarm me. I do not like running to the Dr. or hospital so I did not say anything to anyone the first time. The second time I did mention it to my mother and she wants me to go to the Dr. I don't have health insurance and I am dreading creating that bill for myself. I am due for my yearly breast and Pap exams, breast cancer does run in my familly as well. Does anyone possibly know what could be causing the bleeding?

Are you sure it's coming from the vagina? It could be a bladder infection. They can cause bleeding that looks like its coming from the vaginal area. I'm sorry can't be much help as I'm just 3 weeks out from the same surgery.
