Gee, I'm sorry you've had such a rough time. I had surgery similar to yours and have gotten along very well. I can't imagine why your doc wouldn't want to check out why you're still having such pain. It certainly seems reasonable and necessary to me to find someone else who will check things out. Good luck and stay in touch.

Maybe you should go see another doc. Try when yours is gone maybe? After my surgery I kept telling them I had to pee...BAD! Nobody believed me because I was draining well through my catheter into the bag. A week later when I finally couldn't take it anymore, they took out the cath and here my bladder was withholding a bunch of urine. If you seriously feel like something is wrong, call and tell them that. And try and do it calmly and not sound mad or hysterical (even tho you might be feeling that way!). I'm mad at myself for not making them listen to me before but they don't know me, and they may have thought I was just super-sensitive to pain or whatever. They deal with lots of irrational people too I'm sure. You just have to trust yourself and let them know you are not coming along very well. I had my TVH on the 4th of Sep. and I'm feeling pretty good. Almost completely off the pain meds. Another thing, you probably shouldn't be carrying around your 1-yr. old if you are still in that much pain. I think you need to go back even tho I'm sure you don't feel like it. Good luck to you and I"m sorry to hear about your troubles! Hope you start to feel well soon!

I know what you are talking about, I ended up in the emergency room 3 weeks after surgery because I started bleeding so bad. It finally stopped but ever since then I have had a pain in my lower left side and after two ultrasounds, the dr cannot find out what the pain is from so the other day he just said no more restrictions and no more follow up visits, so now what am I supposed to do about the pain I still have? I think we both need to get a second opinion. I agree with the other girl too, you probably shouldn't be lifting your daughter. Hope you get better soon!!
