post op update (late as date of op 21st Feb)
firstly I apologise for the delay in posting this but haven't felt able to talk about it before now
had my lvah op on 21st Feb and discharged from hospital on 23rd. Felt good and took everything really easy. Following Friday went out for lunch with my husband and noticed that my bleeding was getting heavier (thought I had overdone it so rested in afternoon and had early night). On Saturday morning bleeding was considerably heavier so ended up back at hospital - long story short I had an infection which caused some of my internal stitches to burst and resulted in the bleeding (surgeon said it was blood that had gathered on top of my stiches so wasn't fresh blood) and me staying in hospital for a further 3 days. This was about 3 weeks ago and since then I have had no further bleeding and feel good.
