Excessive urination post-op, 17days

Hello Everyone,
I had an abdominal hyster. on Aug. 9..I had very large fibroids lying on my bladder and suffered with excessive (i do mean excessive..) urination. Well I've had my hyster. to remove the fibroids but still suffer with excessive urination. I've been given several different meds for excessive urination. But, all to no avail.. I am, literally, still up all night in the bathroom. I'm miserable and tired..My doctor says it"ll take time for my bladder to adjust. Has anyone else had this problem? I'd sure appreciate some advice..

Hi, I had my hysterectomy the same day as you, i am up a few times a night depending on how much I drank during the day. I drink 6-8 cups of water during the day. I find that my bladder is pretty good, better than before the surgery actually. Maybe you have an infection. would definitely have it checked, as they can damage the bladder during surgery, this is what it sounds like especially if they have been given you medication to stop it and it has not. Doctor's do not want to admit they damaged anything I would ask for ultra sound on your bladder to see if it is working properly.
