4 weeks post op - pain on right side

I had an abdominal hysterectomy on January 30. Saturday I cleaned my house for a few hours. Later that evening I tried to get up from the sofa and had terrible pain on my right side. It hasn't gone away yet. If I don't move I'm fine but any movement is really painful. Hoping I haven't really hurt myself.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your pain, I am just coming into my 4 week post op TVH and my DR said no housework for 6-8 weeks so. Am assuming a few house of housework as you said has done it, please don't do anymore except light Dustin for a few more weeks or yes you will hurt yourself and set yourself back to the beginning, trust me I know how hard it is, am kinda of a cleaning OCD person but I have had to really dig deep to not do anything, just going to make a light meal ended me in bed for 2 days at the weekend. P.S the week 3/4 and 5/6 checkpoint even says this!

I had the exact same pain! It was worrying me, so I called the doctor and apparently it's just part of the healing process. They didn't seem too concerned about it, just said if it got worse or didn't go away, to come in for a check up. My pain is gone now, so maybe they were right. Hope you're doing ok too!
