4 day post op.

Well, I was all set to go in for robotic assisted hysterectomy this last Tuesday. Well it didn't turn out that swell. They couldn't get enough air inside me it fully finish the surgery. So they had to cut me open from the belly button down. And now I have staples closing my incision. Plus 3 other puncture sites. I am just a bit confused, as my doctor isn't gull of information it seems like. I don't know if I can shower, if I have any weight lifting restrictions or anything. Grrrr!!! I finally got out of the hospital last night. Am on pain pills. All I know is I am sore!!! Lol

Please read on the post op site until you reach ur Dr. No lifting pushing pulling no tub baths. Keep ur incision dry after a shower. I feel bad that you have no instructions and I'm no Dr. But at least I can help by speaking from experience. No steps no driving either. If you have stairs go very slow. Drink plenty of fluids water is best. A stool softener over the counter. Colace is a good one. Use it daily to keep ur bowels moving. I hope this helps. Call ur Dr ASAP. To get his instructions. This is again only what I kno from having 3 abdominal surgeries. Best of luck❤️

You give perfect advice here. It takes tons of patience to rest to a perfect recovery. But at three months out all i can say it is worth it!!! Great relations, white clothes, no horrible pain and bleeding ruining vacations and life... Just feeling awesome! I felt like hell during recovery for about five weeks. Not terrible pain and no bleeding but really tired and constipated and had bladder issues headaches, oh it was lovely! What a crappy summer lol! But man is this life rocking! No more flat on my back for half the month!!! Wooot!
