Anyone develop cysts after hyst.?

I had my hyst. March 13th. Recovery went well but I have pain on my right side. Dr. said that it was my ovary and tube still inflamed. Now it's been weeks later and Dr. is requesting a pelvic ultrasound thinking that it is cysts. I hurt all the time and have shooting pain down into my groin. Some times I can't walk properly. Is this indictative of cysts? If so, has anyone had to have their ovary removed after a hyst.? ~Thanks.

Anyone develop cysts after hyst.?

Hi ImOkay, I had two small cysts on my remaining ovary about 3 months after my surgery. Hurt like heck, and the gyn identified them with an pelvic ultrasound. Thankfully they both resolved (ruptured, I guess) and they were very small. My gyn told me that all cysts can cause pain, regardless of size, so maybe you have one that is small. I have another one now, but I'm pretty sure if your ovary(ies) is functioning correctly, a small cyst develops every month, then disappears. In November I ended up in the ER because of the pain caused by a huge hemorraghic (sp?) cyst that I didn't know was there - I could barely walk. That was the start of the road to surgery for me. I've read other sisters having to have a cyst removed after surgery - go to the ovaries only posts and you should be able to find more information. So sorry you are dealing with this now. Please let us know.
