Hospital stay for TAH?

I had a SAH. I checked in at 7:15 Friday morning and checked out at 10:30 Sunday morning. I was so happy to be going home; however, now when I look back I wish I had stayed one more day.

I had a T.A.H on a monday and was out on a Friday evening. I was also in severe pain that could not be controlled. Best of luck to you. Love angel_eyes

My surgery was supposed to be on a Thursday morning, but they didn't get me in and finished until early evening. I left the hospital about 9pm the following Sunday. So that makes it 3 nights, 4 days???

I went in on a Friday morning and was home by noon the following Monday.

Five days is customary here for TAH.

I went in Tuesday PM, had surgery about 6:30pm and was out by Thursday 1:00pm.

My surgery was at 1pm Monday and I was discharged at 5pm Tuesday - AFTER I was able to drink enough for normal urine output, I didn't have any nausea or fever, I could walk by myself (with help getting up) and I could pee and pooh on my own. You're schedule will be based on what your body needs - time for this to be all about you!

Surgery and check in on Monday morning, checkout and home by Wednesday afternoon.

My Dr said 3-4 days in the hosp. I think 1 day is way too short
