urinary tract infection after my hysterectomy

Hi ladies! My first post on this board since my hysterectomy last Thursday. I ended up being very blessed, with only my uterus being removed, and it was done vaginally. They did have to separate my rectum from my uterus, and there was lots of scar tissue which they said must have been endo.
All was going smoothly when I got home from the hospital Sunday, and then I started not feeling too swift around Tuesday. Wednesday night was pretty miserable with times being boilng, and then shiveing so hard my teeth would chatter. I finally went to ER yesterday, and let me tell you that was no picnic. I live right on the edge of the California fires (thank heavens we weren't affected), but I sat in the ER waiting room for 5 hours since so many were showing up from the fire infected areas.
They took blood, urine, and xrays, and found I have a urinary tract infection. My temp got to about 101.5 at the highest. I'm home, but still feeling like I have a hangover, and I am discharging watery blood. Has anybody else experienced this? My husband has been off work since my surgery, and is debating whether to go back in tomorrow. My temp. has been around 98.2-99.2 today, so I know I'm getting better. I also have pain in my thighs from time to time, and a sharp jab pain around my pelvic bone on the left side. Don't want to sound like a hypochondriac, but yes, I'm a little scared.

urinary tract infection after my hysterectomy

Please call your doctor ASAP. My doctor told me that if I had any pain around my thighs or on my side that it could be a symptom of a blood clot. Once they treat it though, it is usually okay.

Also, have them give you a round of antibiotics for your UTI.

Good Luck.

they gave me 500mg of levaquin to take for 7 days
The only way I can ask about the blood clot is to go back to emergency again.
