went to Dr, still no answers ?

I am 4 week post op from TVH with ovaries left.
I have been suffering for days now with constant nausea, dull achey fuzzy head and feeling hot. I have no fever and temp is normal.
I went to see Dr and she said it wasnt possible for me to have any hormone problem because i kept my ovaries. I was given blood tests and ant sickness pills because i could not face eating anything.
I have read other peoples symtoms simular to mine and i cant understand why Dr said this to me.
So now i have to wait until next week to get results from blood test and i am so worried.

Do you have a family dr also? Call them Here in Ontario Canada we have telehealth you get to speak to a registered nurse do you have anything like that?
I have read about other womens ovaries "going to sleep"? after a hyster? I am not too sure about that because mine are out! I hope you can get your answers or try another dr.--not always the easiest thing to do.
Try and find out about needing the ovaries "woken" up!
hope you feel real better soon

Thanksfor your replys,
I just hope it is my ovaries and nothing else,
I think going through a hysterectomy is bad enough never mind all other problems too.
I would never had gone through with it had i known what i would feel like.
I will let you know how i get on next week.Love

I have done a lot of reading pre op & it sounds like your ovaries have sort of gone into shock- I guess that can happen after hyst cause regarless with the uterus gone the blood flo decreases to them. It sometimes lasts a few weeks to a few months, on occasion it can be permanent- like a surgery enduced menopause. Good luck to ya. I can't believe your doctor blew you off on it. Maybe try an over the counter estrogen supplement like Estroven or some of the estrogen creams(after asking the Dr if it'd be ok) maybe that would help.

Ellyhay,
It took about 6 weeks post-op until my remaining ovary woke up, so I don't understand either why your doctor would say that to you. I hope your ovaries 'wake up' soon. Hugs.

Ellyhay, I agree with the other sisters - sounds like your ovary is still in shock and this is hormone related. Do you know if they are testing your homone levels? I have one ovary left and have had on and off again hot flashes, but just found out my hormone levels are fine, so go figure. Good that you don't have a temperature though. You are still less than one month out, and a lot of us still felt pretty lousy then. I hope it gets better real soon. Hang in there sweetie.
