Home today from the Castle!

HI all!! I am back home today..feels good to be home. My surgery for TAH was on Tuesday 3/12, and all went well. I kept my ovaries and tubes. I had the surgery under a spinal/epidural and was very pleased with my recovery. It was the way to go for me. My doc even asked me if I wanted to see my removed uterus, and I said sure why not, So I did. Very odd to see. But I was okay with with it.
The epidural kept me totally zero pain free for 24 hours, than they took it out of my back..and the pain started for me on the 2nd day. Getting moving and out of bed was probably the hardest and biggest challenge for me..but once I was moving..I welcomed taking a mini-walk down the hall and to the bathroom.
The waiting was the hardest part...
To all you ladies in waiting, you will do fine!! Just expect to be wicked tired.
Good luck all
Mavis

Home today from the Castle!

We were March 12 sisters, I came home on Thursday, had a very uneventful surgery, saw my utereus too, kinda cool. I was up in 18 hours and self care in 24. Isn't it great being on the other side. Write me sometime and we can compare stories.
Welcome home.
