Here's help for DRY skin

I just read on the post op thread of problems with dry skin. There is a product available at most drugstores, called CARMOL 10 and Carmol 20, it is by Doak labratories, and you may have to ask the phamacist window, at Target they had it there. It costs about 14$ for the 10 lotion and that lasts about a year. the 20 is best for feet and elbows. This product is 10 and 20% urea which is hydrophyllic (water loving) and it forms an ionic bond with H2O, so it keeps water in your skin! Even if you live in the desert! I used it for 31 years of flying as a flight attendant and was always asked what I used on my skin, and the humidity onboard is something like 3%!
If you lighly pat your face and neck dry keeping some water on your skin, apply the carmol 10 and let it bond with that water while you finish drying.
Also at the healthfood store is a spray product found by the lotions call NaPCA (sodium PCA) your skin stops producing sodium PCA as it ages, you can just spray some of this right on top of you Carmol 10 lotioned face, neck and or body for extra moisture. Dry Sodium PCA set out in a dish in a desert will become a puddle of water just by sitting there, again it is hydrophillic (water loving) and bonds with water.
You can also try Virgin Coconut Oil found at the healthfood store, Don't be fooled by the fact that it is solid at room temp, it liquifies at body temp and it is great to cook with, as it is a medium chain fatty acid and will help your body to lose weight and to lower cholesterol, etc. I have a squeeze bottle in my shower and apply it when I am finished washing, let some warm water lightly rinse it off, then towel dry.
Bundle up in your light flannel jammies and tap a nap in your chambers wake up softer than you can imagine! you can rub in directly onto your feet and elbows too!
hope this helps with the dry skin.
