day 15 post op tiredness

I'm day 15 of the best part of my life. I'd forgotten I could feel this good. I'm not doing much because I'm married to a Prince, who knew when I was 20 I could pick such a good man. But I still am tired after little exertion, treadmill or laundry( how can you get tired moving clothes from one machine to another). A friend mentioned that the anethetic(sorry for the spelling) can last up to a month is this true, or am I just enjoying the lack of action.

Re: day 15 post op tiredness

I'm coming up on two weeks post-op....and I'm so tired today I can barely move. I'm trying to motivate myself to get up and walk around the house a bit.....but I'm not moving yet.....
My mother had a hysterectomy years ago and she said that her fatigue was the biggest obsticle to overcome - and it was almost a year before she felt normal....

Don't be too hard on yourself...and enjoy the rest. The real world is going to catch up with us all too soon!

Re: day 15 post op tiredness

Oh wow, I had no idea this fatigue was so common! I am glad to read that others are spending a lot of time resting as well...and its not just me. I vowed that day 14 I would just get up and be "fine" for my family's sake, but I really dont see that happening and its day 16 post op.

Re: day 15 post op tiredness

I was "fine" for my family Christmas morning...and today I have been flat on my back except for the 30 minutes I have forced myself to walk. This recovery takes time. Listen to your body Don't forget - we are the princesses!
