Sneak medicine before surgery???

My surgery ischeduled for Monday. I have managed not to take any ibuprofen or aspirin as I was told but my allergies have flared up. I had to sneak some allegra to get it under control. The doc told me to continue the birth control pills to keep the bleeding under control. Does anyone else have allergies? I can't breathe without the allegra. I plan to call the doc to check on it but I had to take something today.

Please don't take anything without the okay from your doctor. Some meds can interfere with anesthesia, blood coagulation, etc. It could even mean postponing your surgery. I'm not sure about the effects of Allegra, but certain medications are not allowed. The best thing to do is ask your doctor. I hope you can get some relief from your allergies.
