Cholecystectomy, anyone???

Hi Sisters!

I haven't posted for a while, but I'm back!

I am about 14 weeks post LAVH and had to go back to the castle last week to have my gallbladder removed after I spent two nights there searching for the source of my pain. I am just wondering if any of you have had to have your gallbladder removed so soon after hysterectomy, and if so, how long it took you to feel like yourself again. I still wasn't feeling completely recovered from the hysterectomy, so I am just assuming that my body is going to take a while to bounce back from this double whammy.

I am seeing my surgeon (gallbladder) tomorrow morning so maybe he will have an opinion, but any opinions from my sisters would be appreciated!

I hope you are all doing well.

Lynne

P.S. I thought I had swelly belly before...now I look (and feel) like I swallowed a bowling ball!!!

Cholecystectomy, anyone???

I had my gallbladder out 7 years ago and was back at work within 2 weeks. That was much easier to recover from than this. My TAH w/R ovary & tube removed and bladder tack was 3-1/2 weeks ago (May 9).

Sorry you're having to go through it all at the same time. Just take good care of yourself and get plenty of rest.

Cholecystectomy, anyone???

Hi there. I had a TAH in October and my gallbladder removed in Dec, all of 2004! The gallbladder was a breeze to me, compared to the TAH! I was up and feeling better in no time!!

Hope you feel better soon!
Keri
