Endometriosis Anyone?

I am 26 and have two boys. I have moderate annoying pain from edometriosis.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!
My doctor suggest a hysterectomy when i am ready... He said when i can no longer take the pain..... There is an alternative surgery but he says no matter what i would probably have to have a hyster in 5 years anyway...... I don't want two abdominal surgeries... My ovaries aren't in good shape either... already had half of one remove.... I'm too young for HRT!!! Don't really think i want any more children...... but not sure i'm ready to give up the possiblitly either.......... HELP!

I had endo for 12 years and at 38 had my hysterectomy.
My doctor waited until I was close to 40 to do mine--I had three artificial menopauses (drug therapy) and four laser laparoscopies and D/C's in the 12 years leading up to my hyst. I had an adenomyotic uterus as well.

Be sure to research your options--and there is more than one option in alternative surgery (laser laps, uterine ablation). Also, a hysterectomy is NOT an automatic cure for endo. I still have my ovaries, and know that my endo may recur.
