Re: Tired of this pelvic pressure!

Sorry that your doctor is so un sympathetic...It's not right that you feel you can't ask her questions about this and if it was me I would get honkerblonky with her! Not recommending that. It's just not fair that you have to worry about such things on top of everything else. So far my doctor has been pretty decent. One thing I am curious about is the stool softener thing. Everyone is different so of course it's always best to follow your doctors advice, but I was advised to go off them after about a week. They can cause the bowel to become dependant if taken too long. I do understand that an easy pass is nicer but sometimes it takes more pushing I have found? Its it possible your straining too much? I think if I were you I would see my doctor again and make her do an exam.

Good luck.... I hope your feeling better soon

LOL...that honkerblonker word I didn't put,I guess they changed it because of my original word. I thought it was funny..never heard of that word.Yeah I've always heard the same about your bowels becoming to dependent on softners and laxatives. She told me when I went in last friday I could use miralax for 3to4 weeks.Shoot the instructions say 7 days.I don't believe Ill do that at all. She's supposed to do an exam next week(6wks)when I went in at 4 she wouldn't do an exam. She said it was to early.I guess I gotta wait till next week. Thanks for your replies!

Re: Tired of this pelvic pressure!

I get a lot of pelvic pressure and haven't had any problems with constipation. Today it felt like the first day of my period complete with cramps and a headache and I'm 12 days post-op with my ovaries! Even ,though, I was never bloated like this before. Smaller meals do help.
