pain in lower abdomen
Hi bb0313
I can't tell you for sure if your pain is normal, but I had some pain very low like that too. I would experience it often when I was sitting and sometimes it would shoot down my leg. For me this all proved to be part of the healing process and in time it all cleared up. It helped if I didn't sit for long at a time, but to recline more so there was less constriction on my abdomen. Riding in the car was the worst for bringing it on.
I'm not sure what type of surgery you had. It can make a difference in what type of pain you experience. It's also true that every woman is different. Our bodies heal differently and our surgeries were all individual as far as the extent of what we had done. There can also be nerve pain with some surgeries. I think you should ask your dr specifically about what you're experiencing in case there's something else going on with you that isn't considered a normal part of your recovery.
You're still very early in your recovery and your body could be telling you that it's too early for certain activities or the amount of activity at this stage in your recovery is too much. You might want to try resting a bit more to see if it helps with the pain level. You can tell pretty quickly if you're doing too much, you're body will let you know.
I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Keep us posted on your progress.
