Upcoming Hysterectomy on 7/31

Your anxiety about the anaesthesia is completely normal. No matter how many times you've gone through it, it can still be quite scary. If you mention you're anxious, there are things they can do, as you may know, so be sure to take advantage of that. Regarding your dogs, I was in the same situation because I have 2 very active German shepherds. We spent plenty of time in the backyard; I'd park myself in a patio chair, while they'd splash around in our kiddie pool, and occasionally bring me a tennis ball to toss for them. My brother took care of the feeding and walking; if your dogs get along well with others, then perhaps you could bring in a friend, neighbour or professional dog sitter. Regarding the constipation, what helped me was stocking up on foods that I'd heard would work, including peppermint tea, frozen cherries, prune and prune juice, and pumpkin seeds. So give your two big buddies a hug, and best wishes for your upcoming surgery!
