Should I call the DR???

I had a LSH 3/9/05...Took 6 weeks off...Been back to work for almost a month without any problems...I have a bad cold/possible bronchitis and have been deep coughing for the past several days...Also lifted heavy items most of the day today...I had low pelvic pain mostly on the sides...Do you think this is from the coughing, lifting, or nothing I need to bother my DR. with? I have had a good recovery with very little pain and don't know what to do...I am working out of town so don't wanna go to an ER or walk in clinic if not necessary...I know I can count on you sisters for some advice!!!!

call for peace of mind

It is never a bad idea to contact the dr to see if they want to check you out. Many times they can explain the pain by phone once you detail your recent activity/lifestyle. Don't feel shy about giving details. Most of us do things and then aren't sure if we've overdone it or not. I had a pain several weeks after my procedure. Called the dr and gave the nurse details. She told me exactly what could be causing it, what to expect, when it should ease, and if it didn't when to call back. Took a load off my mind! In my case everything happened just as she said it would. A good dr and staff NEVER mind a patient checking on a new symptom (especially pain) after surgical procedures.
Hope all works out fine for you! Keep us posted.

Should I call the DR???

Hi Immabluefish,

I agree with Texasfriend. A good idea to just check in with your Dr. via the phone.

I agree with Texasfriend also that we Hyster Sisters can overdo it in post-op. A LSH is a less invasive hyst and in my opinion, we still need the full recovery time the other ladies need. Even at 2 months out, overdoing it can happen. Do not worry.

Best wishes,

Mary
