Anyone else get what they thought was a yeast infection after?

Last week I thought I was getting a yeast inf. Itchy and hurt to pee. They let me get the piil for the yeast ins. When I went to the doctor last Friday, the doctor said she thought it was an infection due to wearing pads and being moist. I can't remember what she said it was, but prescribed an antibiotic for it. Thank goodness it is finally feeling better. I think getting that kind of stuff now really stinks and not really a good time for it.

I think that irritation/infection from the pads is quite common after surgery. You have all sorts of discharge that's sitting on the pad.
I would suggest changing the pad frequently and be sure they're unscented.

Anyone else get what they thought was a yeast infection after?

I started having relations with my hubby and I noticed that I got an yeast infection afterward.

Talked to me doc about it at my 6wk appt. and he put me on Diflucan(sp?) for 4 weeks. I take one once a week for 4 weeks, then I got back to see the doc. So far it seems to be working, but I have not had sex yet after being on the meds.

i dont know if sex or something else triggered a chronic yeast infection after my lsh. i kept using monostat and it would go away but come back in a short amt of time. my dr had me take 3 diflucan pills, three days apart and one once a week for 6 months. i started that last week and so far, so good. i let it go too long without seeing him because i thought i had irritated things by using peppermint body scrub in the shower that had accidently gotten into the wrong area. i hope this 6 month course of diflucan takes care of things.

Normally any time I am on antiiotics I get a yeast infection. Since the Doctor told me that I would be given antibiotics at the time of surgery, I prepared and bought a yeast infection treatment. Wasted the mony though cause I didnt get the infection. That will teach me to think ahead. LOL

I did. My doc gave me diflucan and it seems to have gotten better. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one; I'd been a little concerned.
