Going in on 12/20 - update

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to thank all of you for the advice and well wishes. You're right, it's been a really lousy year and I wish my husband was still here to be with me (but I know that even if he's not here physically, he's in my heart!).

To update you on what I'm goin gto do after my surgery, my parents have changed their plans and are going to be here for my surgery and plan for me to spend at least a week at their house once I am out of the hospital. YIPEE!!! :-)

A friend of mine has offered to take me grocery shopping (or will go herself) when necessary and is loaning out her children to help me with anything physical (they're all older boys).

So now everything looks like it's going to be okay. To be honest, I can't wait. I'm so tired of being in pain all the time. I don't sleep at night and wind up being crabby to my daughter. I know she'd like a mommy who can do more with her. It's pretty sad being 43 and in too much pain to even play with your own child -- especially when she's already lost her dad!

Anyway, thanks again all of you for your support and kind words. To those of you who are about to go "under the knife", I will keep you in my prayers.

God Bless,
PJ
