10 day post op hysterectomy spotting

I had my vaginal hysterectomy on the 15th so today is 10 days post op. It was a busy day for Christmas and I find I am spotting again. Is this normal!? Is it just a sign that I overdid it or have I actually hurt something!? I have anxiety and the spotting has me all worried now!

gthomas the spotting could be a sign that you may be overdoing things. The general rule usually is, if you soak a pad an hour then you need to be seen. Try resting and see if the spotting slows down or stops. If it increases, or is accompanied by pain or fever, I would give the doctor a call.

This is probably your body telling you that you over did it. Like the previous comment said, if you soak more than a pad an hour, get seen ASAP. I would recommend giving your Dr a call tomorrow anyway, they will probably want to be sure there was no damage done. Be sure to be following all guidelines...I over did it at first and I have almost 7 months post op and still dealing with recovery. Let your body heal...
