I can't begin to tell you all how helpful you have been to me in preparing for my TAH. I have never spoken to you or met you, but I feel like you are my closest friends.

I am a nervous wreck, my surgery is on Thurs.Oct 25th. But I think I am prepared for anything after reading your stories. Can't imagine what it will be like to live without this horrible pain (endo & fibroids). I don't have any questions, just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your concern and care shown on this site.

I remember being as nervous as you are. The day of my surgery, I wasn't a bit nervous. I'll never understand that. Once you get to the hospital, things move along pretty fast. Before you know it, you'll be resting in your room.

I'm happy you found HysterSisters before your surgery. Isn't it amazing how a group of women who have never met in person can give so much love and support? I think that's what keeps so many of us here long after we've recovered. I still find it rewarding to give back some of what I received here when I needed it.

It is very normal to be nervous this close to surgery. I remember also being very nervous and having second thoughts.
Everything went great, and I am so glad I had the Hyster.
You will do great too.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers on Thurs. and during your recovery time.

Don't worry about the age thing!!! I had my TAH 1 month and 1 day before I turned 31. It was the BEST birthday present I could ever have gotten.

Our sex life is the best it's ever been and no more pain. No more "monthly hemmorraghes" that caused enemia, and the mood swings have really leveled off. The night sweats are gone too :

You know what they say....if men had to survive just one period or give birth just once civilization would come to an end.

Sometimes male docs just don't get it. Mine didn't!!! Then I found a wonderful male OB/GYN who was so understanding. I wonder if he was a woman in a previous life?
