home from the castle!!

Hi everyone!

I am now three days post op from TAH/BSO. I want all you LIW's to know that everything positive you learn from this site is absolutely true!

The waiting truly is the hardest part! I feel wonderful! Spent two nights in the hospital and am now home with my family taking care of me and my children.

I can honestly say there is very little pain, discomfort actually, with the exception of the day of surgery.

I just wanted to give some encouragement to all you LIW's. I know how I felt in the waiting period. I now look forward to a life without painful periods, fibroids etc. Hooray!

We met in the chat room a couple weeks ago, and I remember you were quite nervous and anxious to be done with this. Well, see, we told you the waiting was the hardest part!!!!

I am so glad that you are doing well. Just remember, when the Dr. says 6-8 weeks, he/she means it!!!!!!! Take your time, rest, rest, rest then rest some more. Oh, and stop in the chat room too!! However, you can only stay in chat a short time, then we send out the pillow police

Congratulations on your crowning! Welcome home!

Now you have the easy part: a nice, long, relaxing recovery ahead of you!

I want to remind you to take good care of yourself: REST, REST, and then REST some more, drink, rest, sleep, walk a little bit just around the house, rest some more, and then, of course, rest.

Call your DR if you have any concerns about your condition or questions about his/her instructions, and come see your Hyster Sisters every now and then (don't sit for too long at the 'puter for the first 2 weeks) to get lots of hugs and support!
