Re: Has been 17 months and I hurt all over and have terrible fatigue

Sorry to hear you feel so unwell. Do you think your current symptoms relate to your hysterectomy?

What does your doctor think? I have a friend who has Fibromyalgia and she suffers pain and fatigue, though recently she has been feeling a lot better.

I think the first step is to try and get a diagnosis.

Has your doctor done blood work on you? I think that should be your first step. What you describe sounds very similar to how I felt with my autoimmune disease, and how many women describe fibromyalgia. Stress such as surgery can sometimes trigger an autoimmune disease which had previously been asymptomatic. A virus caused mine to flare up when I was 40... I never knew before then that I had one.

I hope you find your answers and you feel better very soon.

Did you have your ovaries removed? Could be some severe surgical menopausal symptoms if so. But regardless I would get a blood test to rule other things out. I have Fibromyalgia and my symptoms (severe and debilitating fatigue and all over body pain) have worsened since surgery. Get the blood test too rule out more serious things, and then ask about what other potential causes of your symptoms.
