Post op nightmare bleeding post op 14 days

Well good afternoon sisters i hope evryone is doing well with their recovery. Well im in week 2 of my TAH (kept ovaries,removed tubes and cervix). My recovery was going super well with little to no problems up until today. I woke up, got the kids ready and off to school then laid back down. When i got up out of bed i started bleeding. Called the dr and went to see him right away as i was terrified of what was going on with my body. Well i get there and proceeds to check me and the pain was unbearable. This is where im terrified. He proceeds to tell me that my vaginal cuff id completely fine and he just doesnt know where all this blood is coming from. He place some seal to help and has told me to come back tomorrow and if the bleeding has not stopped he will have to go back in. Sisters im terrified i want to be okay but dont want to have to start all over from day one again. Does anyone have a clue of what could be causing the bleeding or has anyone had the same issues. Wish all well in their recovery period.

Wow, if your dr. doesn't know, I surely don't....I bet that's scary! I read somewhere (I don't even remember where...I've been reading so much, my brain is on overload!), that around 2-3 weeks post op, more bleeding can occur, either A- from internal sutures dissolving (brighter red blood), or B- from blood finally coming out which had pooled earlier from the surgery (if the blood is darker).

I had the same thing at 4 weeks , My cuff was fine BUT there was a blood vessel that used to be attached to my cervix that was not healed all the way , It bled like CRAZY then I passed a clot , it stopped after about 2 hrs...Maybe ask your doc about that! My doc said he is going to leave mine alone to see if it will heal on its own , if it does not we will then discuss treatment options!

will you let us know how you get on at the doctor and how you feel? I for one worry when I read posts where the sister is worried!

I hope that you are ok & do not need more surgery. I do not have any ideas other than what was mentioned already. Keep us posted.

Good morning sisters!! Im not sure if this is where i post the update im finding this website a little confusing. Any help would be great. Well i went back to the dr on thursday for my follow up and asked a whole bunch of questions. I asked about the bloodvessel that was attached to the cervix he said that vessel was removed so it wasnt that. What it came down to was one of the sutures in my vaginal cuff had come loose. So it was nothing major just need to slow it down. thank again for all your concerns, comments, and prayers... Feeling much better..
