Hematoma?

Hi, I am new here. I just recently had a LAVH on 22 Dec 08. I had severe adenomyosis. I thought everything was healing just fine. I went in for my 6 week post op, which was very painful, and very surprising..since I didn't have any pain until then, but my Doc told me that it was just because I hadn't had intimacy for a long time and it should get better, if not call him back in 2 weeks. Well that was 2 weeks ago and it only got worse after several attempts and now I started bleeding. I went in for an appt today...he is a great Doc so far...doesn't waste time when something is wrong...and he said it is a possible hematoma? Anyone ever had this problem? If so, what where your symptoms? He also mentioned a possible dropped tube? Anyone experience this? One more thing he said it might be, the worst of all he said is possible an allergic reaction to the sutures..which has happened to me before...but not on the inside of my body....and it may cause more complications before it gets better. Anyone ever experience any of this before? My Doc is scheduleing me for an ultra sound as soon as possible...but we won't know anything until then...and if that doesn't show why I am having pain and bleeding he said he will do another scope....HELP!!! And this belly jelly is just aweful!

Hematoma?

Hi Christine41 and

is it that you are feeling pain with intimacy? or is the pain the whole time? I have vaginal dryness sometimes, and I use a lubricant like KY or there are many others that are good. do you think it could be dryness? bleeding sometimes occurs when the vaginal walls are irritated.
I am glad that your doctor is helping you, I just pray that is something as simple as vaginal dryness and nothing more serious.
please, keep us posted, I really do pray you get better and the symptoms stop....God bless

Hematoma

thank you so much for your reply. I haven't had any problem w/ dryness since the surgery. Well right now anyhow. The many times we've attempted. I had used KY "just in case" a couple of times. the pain is at the "cuff" from what the doc says when he did the exam. There was bright red blood on the swab that he used. He's is not sure what is bleeding and why. I do however have my ultra sound scheduled on the 4th of march (that I am so not looking forward to, cuz he said it's going to hurt, it has to be done vaginally). But, hopefully it'll be worth it and I will get some answers. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your prayers. God Bless.
