pre LSH/BSO concerns
Can anyone relate? Maybe I should not post anything, too negative. I turned 50 in October 07 and it seems since then life has spiraled downward. High blood pressure and endometrial ablation for bleeding, now I am scheduled next week, May 21 for LSH/BSO because ablation did not work for me. I am scared of weight gain and worse nite sweats than I have now, hormones were a jungle for me pre-ablation, never could get them right. No libido at all. I hope HRT after my LSH/BSO can correct some of this without weight gain.
Other than these issues I am currently very active, gym 5 days a week and ride horses two days a week. I would appreciate anyones advice. Kind of freaking out here.

pre LSH/BSO concerns
Hi
I had my hyst at age 53. I had hot flashes before my surgery and then they were worse after, but I have been on the vivelle dot patch now for 5 years and it keeps me cool and comfortable.
I exercise and eat a healthy diet, so my weight is staying down. I think maybe the estrogen keeps an extra 5 lbs. of fluid on me, but no big deal, I think taking the hrt and me feeling good is worth the extra little bit of weight.
Best wishes on your upcoming surgery.

thanx for the good wishes. scheduled for this wed the 21st of May. Do you take any progesterin? So, just estrogen is enough? Do you know why some people take both?
