what about a potluck?

Having everyone bring something to make the dinner complete would be a big help for you, and wouldn't be too much for them to do, as everyone brings something, no one is stuck making the entire dinner.

It would also help them to feel useful. Sometimes family doesn't always know what to do for someone else. This would give them something that they can do to help, and feel they're contributing.

It might also bring to their attention that you NEED help. Unfortunatly sometimes family doesn't always SEE that another family member might not be able to do everything they've always done. Because they know the holidays are going to be at your house, family might just assume that you're well enough to do everything, as you've always done.
