swelly belly

Silly question, but will I get a swelly belly with a TVH. And are granny panties reallly helpful, and if so how much of a bigger size should I get?

I can't help you with swelly belly and TVH (I had a SAH) but the only reason I wore 'granny' panties was because the elastic of my normal 'little' ones lay right across the line of my incision ... OUCH! That was my only reason for wearing the 'big' ones!

I have seen questions about swelly belly and TVH many times before ... try the 'search' facility to look through the forum threads.

I also had TVH and yes sadly you can get swelly belly, mine is slowly going back down. As far as the panties, I did fine in my own.

Hi there..I had LAVH, so just had to work around small incisions. but rather then going BIG, I went small...wore really low panties that were below all but the incision at the bottom...then one day I wore a little gauze pad over that to make sure no rubbing. I felt elastic on the waist cut into me too much...wore loose jammy pants with soft waistband at home...I did not have much bleeding or spotting so never really needed a pad, so did not need big panties. However, those would have been helpful home from the hospital if I had been spotting...but loose around the tummy. Good luck!
