TVH Bleeding a little after sex and pain???

I'm almost 2 years out from having TVH. I had sex today and it hurt more than usual. I bled a little afterwards. But when I pee it burns a lot. Called the nurse of obgyn office and said it might be granulation (sp?) tissue. My question is : is this normal to hurt when peeing and should I go in asap to the doctors office?

Can't comment on the granulation thought especially this far post-op, but is it possible you're dealing with vaginal dryness or atrophy, both from low estrogen levels? Shortly after my surgery, I had an episode like that: burning, irritation, a little itchy, and I noticed it when I urinated. That unwanted side effect after sex has gone by the wayside (8 months post-op), and it's likely that my ovaries weren't up to speed yet. However, as we age and our bodies naturally produce less estrogen which can lead to Vaginal Dryness which has symptoms you may recognize, and if left alone perhaps Vaginal Atrophy.

I'd go ahead and get it all checked out. If low estrogen is what's going on and you're a candidate for HRT via a cream, that might be all you need.

Thank you for replying. I'm still in pain today. It feels really weird. Like something is hanging out in there causing me to hurt. I have never hurt like this at all in the last almost 2 years. It's hurts after I pee still but feels like the pain is in vagina. And it last up to 30 minutes. Then goes away and not noticed much until the next time I need to pee. Maybe it's just a uti? I go to my doctor in Wednesday to see what's going on.

It's kind of funny that we're so focused on gyn issues that we, or at least I do, tend to think of the female side of things first! Could be a UTI. Let us know what you find out.
