LAVH: Having hysterectomy and scared about what happens in the hospital and during recovery

Hi Mimi,
I just wanted to wish you well. I am having a da vinci myomectomy Tuesday so I know how you feel. I am scared, nervous, depressed, relieved, excited all in one. I don't want to do it but I can't wait for it to be over. Please post once you are all relieved in recovery. I am sure you will do great.

Wishing you all the very best. You will be fine. Just relax and try not to think about it. I know you have read some horror stories but we are all different. I'm 3 weeks post op on Wednesday and I'm feeling good. You will be tired and you will get frustrated (not being able to do your usual running around) but it's all worth it. I still get tired but it's normal. Just listen to your body. Will keep an eye out for your next post. All the very best. 😘

I felt petrified because I work in healthcare I think I knew too much and seen what can go wrong first hand which made things worse
The anaesthetist chatted to me about lots of things while I was going to sleep to take my mind off it. Before you know it, you are awake in recovery.
They will give you enough pain medication to get on top of the pain, and guide you with movement and when to start doing things etc.
