Update at 4 months

Haven't been in awhile. Healing well, being busy and going on vacation will do that! Thought I'd stop by and check in.

I was 4 months post-op on Oct. 20. Apparently, I'm doing great because most days, I have forgotten I even had surgery!! The main reminder is I usually feel a little vaginal flutter before the passage of some...um, wind. Other than that, I feel good!

Still have some killer hot flashes which seem to last a wee longer than the normal post-menopausal ones I was used to. Not taking anything for them - just let them pass.

Sex feels great! There is one position that still feels a bit odd (kind of a spoon/laying on side doggy style). But, I think that's because I'm still used to how it felt before surgery with the bladder droopage. We are still doing things gently. Orgasms still feel as good as they did before surgery.

I had the surgery long enough before going on vacation overseas (3 months post-op) and it went great, since that was one of my concerns in hoping I'd have enough time to do some healing before then. My honey of a DH took care of our big luggage as a precaution and I pulled the littler carry-on.

I have been extremely lucky and blessed that I've healed without any complications. I wanted any recent post-op sisters or lurkers to know there are many of us who do very well after our surgeries.

Healing hugs to all
