On My Way....

SAH 4/17 and home on 4/19. I'm doing surprisingly well. I have basically incision pain and minor back pain. I'm drinking lots of water and walking around. The only problem I seem to have is no bowel movement. No pain associated with this I believe, because I've been passing gas (I know....TMI). But Is this normal? It will be a week tomorrow.

Constipation is all too common, I'm afraid. If you try a forum search (click top right of the main page of this forum) you'll find a huge number of posts. Here's a link to just one of them: https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...t=constipation. You may also like to check out this HS article Constipation.

If you don't have any luck soon, please check with your doctor ~ and definitely don't 'strain' as this could cause all sorts of problems this early in your recovery.

Take care!
