One week p/o... When to start kegels?

So, I'm only one week post op. but I'm wondering, as I keep forgetting to ask my doc about this, when is a good time to start kegels again? Will it impede the healing of my cuff? Or will it help? Anyone know anything about this?

I was just wondering the same thing - my hysterectomy was on Monday.

That's a question you should ask your doctor. My doctor told me not to resume kegels until he released me because he wanted me to have pelvic rest. He did release me at my 6 week post-op appointment.

Be sure to ask your doctor before you resume them just to make sure.
