TAH Need advice, had sex 1 week after hysterectomy, have strong odor and discharge

Ok, I am having some issues. I know I did a no no, but it's to late know to change it. I have had sex a few times and yes he *** inside me. I had surgery 2 weeks ago today. I have been having a little blood discharge but now it is a little more and now it smells like I am rotten on the inside. It is horrible!!! I called doctor and told them about smell but not having sex. They told me to give it a few days. I am worried and so is he that i now have an infection. He wants to take me to ER but i don't know. help please and please no bashing!!!!

I am not sure what kind of surgery you had but you should go to ER or at least to your doctor. You may have damaged something. I would tell your doctor what may have caused it.

You need to tell your dr so that he /she knows exactly what could be happening. He can't help you if he doesn't know what could be going on! You could have some serious damage. You NEED to be checked!

No bashing hun. We make mistakes. You HAVE to tell your doctor that you had sex. As far as they know, you are just have minor problems. You probably opened up you incisions. You don't want to get sicker than you already are. Are you running fever? Pain? If yes, go to the ER and you MUST admit to the sex.

The odor makes me think you have an infection. Please have yourself checked out!

i had a total hysterectomy but he cut me along my bikini line.

you have probably torn your cervical cuff and if so, it's an open area now. PLEASE go to the ER! You can end up with a staph infection or septic shock! Take care and please let us know how you are doing!!

The ladies are right. Go to the ER now. Being septic can be very dangerous. Make sure to tell them the whole truth, and tell them to contact you doc and tell her the whole story. It could get bad if infection is brewing. Take Care!

Yes, the ladies here are right....no one will judge you....it is better to address this now than risk your health further.
