Not Into Meds

I'm not one to many meds, but for the first 2 wks. I took the maximum daily dose of extra strength Tylenol and ibuprofren and it didn't really touch the pain. Heat as well did relieve it some. My DR. wanted me to take Tylenol 3, but the constipation factor wasn't to my liking because of multiple repairs done with my HYS.I also am Bi-Polar, with only one manic in 13yrs. and don't like to mess around with my meds, so I tried to manage the pain with out stronger medication. If I had the chance to do this over, I would take stronger meds, and make my recovery much more comfortable. In fact I would prefer to be on the strongest "safe" drugs there are as opposed to toughing it out on my own.
Take the meds knowing you will only us them in the beginning when the pain is at it's worse. HANG IN THERE
