home day 2 post op

Hi...well I had a abdominal hyst on thurs two days ago and came home today with all systems working . Pain controlled between tramadol, toradol and advil. surprised i am moving around as well as I am.

My surgery waa four hours long and very difficult (stage four endo). Surgeon almost had to leave my uterus in as it was so stuck to my bowels. Unable to remove my cervix because of having adhesions to my rectum so yearly paps still in my future.

I have lots of questions....or I will have. hrt .....i guess i need estrogen as well as progesterone since i still have my cervix.

It's really good to get home, isn't it? I went home after 2 days for a TAH too. I was sore but did OK.

I'm not on any estrogen and that seems OK (I need to avoid it due to having had endo and being a DES daughter). While I was 55 and still had periods, I probably wasn't producing much estrogen by the time of my surgery.
